God Help America

Good morning to all you folks out there on this “Wednesday” morning. I again pray that this day finds you blessed and ready to live another day for the Lord Jesus Christ?

I awoke this morning with a great desire to pray for America. Now I do pray for America and our leaders every day, but this morning God had placed an overwhelming desire in my heart to pray for America! God help America!!! Oh God help us!!!!!!!!

As I was on my knees praying God placed a need in my heart to read
(1 Samuel 8:5-8) “And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.”

Is this not what the majority of Americas have done? Rejected God and asked for a king? And God gave America a king. Things are looking bad, very bad for America, is it not. But my dear friends never underestimate the significance of earnest prayer to the living God. The Bible tells us in (James 5:16-18) “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.”

In these verses we are told that that prayer is powerful and effective. God listens to His people, and the greatest works on the earth are birthed by God out of prayer. I am convinced that Jehovah God, Jesus Christ, the only true living God wants all us to pray for America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. A nation that was founded in God we trust. A land that has sent our more missionaries to spread the Gospel than any other. A nation that has been a light set upon a hill! A land of hope!

America is the world’s hope for freedom! America is great, because America served a great God, Jehovah. America is great because America’s laws are, or were, based on the Ten Commandments of God. Oh God help us to get back to Jesus Christ and His Word.

Christians, prayer is America’s only hope!
Christians, pray for Holy Ghost Revival in America!
Christians, are you praying for America and her leaders?
God help America!
