Seeking to do all in faith, fellowship, and service in the Spirit of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, the members of this church shall assent to the following Church Covenant: We confess our faith in God our Heavenly Father, our reverent love for Jesus Christ our Savior, and our willingness to be guided by the Holy Spirit of the Lord. We promise as members of this church to walk together in a Christian fellowship that is obedient to the teachings of Jesus Christ; to at all times base our community life, faith, beliefs, and practices thereof on the Word of God as given to His people in both the Old and New Testaments of the Christian Bible; and to be in agreement with and adhere to the covenant, governing practices, policies, and disciplines set forth in our church Constitution and By-Laws. We do promise, to the best of our ability, to share in the worship, work, ministry, outreach, and missions of the church. We give this pledge that we might do all for the glory of God, for the good of our fellowman, for the benefit of mutual spiritual growth, and to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others we shall meet along the way.

CHURCH  PURPOSE

The purpose of Jesus My Lord And Savior Church is to provide public worship and conduct public prayer, to teach the Word of God as it is written in the Holy Scriptures, to teach and preach our professed Christian doctrines and creeds, and to bind together the followers of Jesus Christ that they may be strengthened in their own Christian walk and in their ability to lead others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

MISSION STATEMENT

 OUR FOUNDATION

Jesus My Lord And Savior Church exists to exalt God's greatness, evangelize God's world, equip God's people and express God's love—through Jesus Christ our Lord . This statement identifies what Jesus My Lord And Savior Church is all about. It is for this purpose that it exists and that every available resource, be it skillful hands , compassionate words, a creative mind or useful provisions, should be dedicated to the cause of Christ as carried out by this church. Based on its greatest ability, Jesus My Lord And Savior ’s ministry falls under the four pillars of our mission statement: Exalting, Evangelizing, Equipping, and Expressing.

1. Exalt God's Greatness (1 Chronicles 29:11-13)

1 Chronicles 29:11 Thine, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. 12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. 13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

Nothing Jesus My Lord And Savior Church does should bring glory to itself, but instead should point to God. Paul writes, "He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 1:31)

Everything that is done should glorify God—that is, to make God apparent. This makes it imperative that Jesus My Lord And Savior Church attempts and accomplishes more than is humanly possible. "To God be the glory, great things He has done!" Exalting God's greatness must go on.

2. Evangelize God's World (Matthew 28:16-20)

Matthew 28:16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The whole world, although engulfed in a myriad of problems and concerns, has one ultimate crisis that must be settled in the heart of each living soul. Mankind is tragically mired in sin, is at odds with God and doomed to eternal death . Every life issue drastically pales in comparison to the eternal consequences of sin. The only solution to mankind's crisis is found in the forgiveness and salvation made possible by the sacrificial death of Jesus . It is for this reason God offered His only begotten Son for our sake. And it is also for this reason that Jesus' parting words to his disciples commissioned them to tell everyone everywhere about the good news of salvation through Christ.

3. Equip God's People (Ephesians 4:11-13)

Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Equipping God's people is at the forefront of Jesus My Lord ans Savior's efforts, because the Lord has commissioned the Church to do so. It is vital to every Christian. Jesus My Lord And Savior Church is committed to teaching, equipping and building up God's people through Bible Study, discipleship courses, various training and conference opportunities, solid Bible preaching, and other means. May every believer in fellowship here be armed with the " shield of faith that extinguishes the flaming missiles of the evil one," and with "the sword of the Spirit , which is the word of God."

4. Express God's Love (John 13:34-35)

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

The love of God glows from the heart of a true disciple of Christ. Expressing love for one another is the evidence that marks us as Christians. Love is also commanded by the Lord. If we are of God, then we are to love one another also. We are to love those for whom Christ died. We should love our brothers, our sisters, and our enemies.

We have been given the world's greatest love letter to deliver. Expressing God's love, we will tell everyone, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
