Good morning to all you folks, and may Jesus Christ, Lord
of Lords and King of Kings bless you once again today. Today I awoke with God’s Word heavy on my heart. Someone ask
me yesterday, “Is the Bible true?” I answered, “well yes the Bible is true, because the Bible is the word
of God.” Then this person asked me how I know the Bible is the Word of God? Now my question to you this morning is this, “is the Bible the Word of God, to
you, is that settled in your heart? Hear ye the Word of God. “For ever, O Lord, Thy Word is settled in heaven.”
(Psalm 119:89) “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.”
(Psalm 119:160) “ Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill.
For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all
be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called
the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of
heaven.” (Matthew 5:17-19) My friends I for one am convinced that the Bible is the Word of God and it
is settled in heaven and on Earth. Now the question that must yet be settled in our hearts is, can we depend upon the Bible?
Do you really believe that the Bible is indeed the Word of God? Now let me ask you another question, “who is the greatest enemy of the Bible?” Is it the liberal who
will try to water down the Word of God? Is it the atheist who will deny it, or the cultist who will twist it? No my friends
the greatest enemy of the Bible are those who claim to be Christians, but do not love the Bible , do not practice the
Bible, and do not obey the Bible. You see
our salvation depends upon our believing the Bible, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,
by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” (1 Peter 1:23) Our sanctification depends upon our believing
the Bible, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” (John 17:17) Our usefulness to God depends on
our believing the Bible, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may
know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13) Do you believe that the Bible is the Word of God? Do you love the Bible? Do you practice
it? Do you obey it? Loving You in Jesus Christ, Pastor David McGee
