Good morning folks, and praise God for
the new day He has provided for us. I say as the psalmist King David said in (Psalm 118:24) “This is the day which the
LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
I just want to praise God today for His sovereignty.
Now what do we mean when we say that God is sovereign? To be sovereign means to have the supreme authority. To say that God
is sovereign is simply to say that He is the only ruler of everything and everyone.
I am convinced that Barach Obama, the president who cannot even prove his citizenship, is striving to be a sovereign ruler.
Now folks many earthly rulers have existed in the history of the world, with unchecked authority over their particular kingdoms,
but only for a period of time. For each of these want a be sovereign leaders the end of their reign came.
Listen to what the Bible says about a certain
king , who was a sovereign want a be. “And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven,
and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored him that liveth for ever,
whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation” (Daniel 4:34)
Here Nebuchadnezzar asserts, not only the sovereignty
of the one true God “the most High,” but he also honors a unique unthinkable attribute of this Sovereign one.
Notice Nebuchadnezzar cries out, “His reign is endless.” Not only will Jehovah God live forever, but His dominion
is unending in its scope, its power, and its longevity. Emperors and pharaohs and dictators have all come and gone. And so
will Barach Obama. Yet, God has never given up His throne, nor will He ever.
Folks there is only one sovereign king and His
name is Jesus Christ. Hear ye the Word of God. “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon
him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on
his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture
dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations:
and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And
he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” (Revelation 19:11-16)
Loving You In Jesus Christ,
